Why Teatro Was Born
Since 1981, International Dance Shoes has been dedicated to the art of dance footwear, making shoes in our UK factory. TEATRO represents the next chapter in that legacy — created for musical theatre students, West End and Broadway professionals, and stage performers who require uncompromising quality, durability, and performance.
Each design is meticulously crafted using luxury Italian leathers, selected for their softness, strength, and ability to mould naturally to the foot over time. Combined with breathable linings and precision construction, TEATRO shoes deliver exceptional comfort through long rehearsal days and demanding performance schedules.
At the core of the collection is our newly developed 2.5” or 3” Teatro heel, engineered to provide superior balance, stability, and shock absorption. The advanced sole construction allows for exceptional foot articulation, enabling fluid movement, controlled turns, and confident transitions across the stage.

Reinforced back quarters with extra-strong stiffeners and wider, 10mm leather straps offer unrivalled security, while an insole shank offers support without limiting flexibility. Dancers can choose from suede, half suede/half rubber, or full rubber sole options, allowing performance grip to be tailored to studio, stage, or touring environments.
