Since 1981, we’ve proudly created dance shoes for performers around the world. But in 2020, we were reminded that even the smallest details can carry weight — and impact.

Historically, most “nude” dance shoes in our industry have catered only to lighter skin tones. Through our collaboration with The Equal Dance Initiative, we were challenged to think differently and take responsibility.

Together, we expanded our colour offering to include two deeper tones — Cocoa and Espresso — ensuring that more dancers can feel seen, celebrated, and supported.

We also renamed our lightest tone, formerly known as “Flesh”, to Peach — a small but meaningful shift in language that reflects a broader definition of nude.
