Since 1981, we've been hand-crafting footwear for Ballroom & Latin American dancers in Milton Keynes, just north of London. We're a family business, with our founder still going strong on our factory floor all these years on. They say the best restaurants are those where the owner is the head chef and that's certainly the case here!
Throughout our 40+ years, we've become one of the world's leading brands for dance footwear, exporting far and wide, working with some of the world's best dancers as well as famous TV shows too with our shoes worn on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing here in the UK and Dancing with the Stars over in the USA too. In 2020 we won a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category - a wonderful reward for lot's of hard work and commitment across our team!
What makes us different to other brands is that we're proudly made in Britain and we run our own factory, and we're passionate about bringing all the advantages which that allows, to dancers like you. Having our own factory means we can be way more flexible in what we offer - pretty much all of our designs are available on a variety of heel options and in different fittings so that we can help to create the perfect shoes for you, so you can take to the floor looking great and dancing every step in exceptional comfort.
We don't only work with some of the world's best Ballroom & Latin American dancers to continuously develop and improve our products, we've worked with respected dance physiotherapists to help us design and build insoles that offer an unrivalled feeling (you can read more about the comfort and health of our shoes here). Our unique challenge as a business is to create footwear that looks elegant, but inside feels like the comfiest of athletic shoes - and we love this challenge and we're constantly trying to raise the bar.
We pride ourselves on being innovative and creating stylish, high quality and comfortable dance footwear at great value, for the world's greatest dancers performing to a rapturous reception in the famous Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, to enthusiastic dancers of any age taking their first steps in the world of dance.
We're a passionate family business which is run between founder Rashmi Patel and son Justin. Rashmi still manages our factory floor whilst Justin runs the business, and alongside them is a wonderful team of people dedicated to producing the best dance shoes and offering the best service. Of the 25+ people on our factory floor, some of our shoemakers have been with us for over 20 years: an extended family business you'd say.
