We're delighted to see one of our highly talented Elite Team sponsored couples, Pasha Pashkov & Daniella Karagach featuring in an incredible video as part of the #DanceOnJamesBay competition.
The Director/Producer, Lauren Adams, was one of a handful of artists picked to enter the competition which involves choreographing performances to the UK top 10 song 'Let it Go' by British artist James Bay, who was actually born just a short drive away from our factory!
The performance oozes style, passion and class and we reckon it should make it as the official music video because they're that good!
Explaining how the video shoot came about, they mentioned that "we were having lessons with Shirley Ballas and Lauren Adams liked our dancing. She had been asked to take contemporary dancers and make them a routine for this song. She had a different view of the song and she wanted to see the raw side of dancing without any stones, hair or make up. She wanted to see passion and a story, so, Lauren asked if we'd be interested in taking part and we were".
Pasha and Daniella went on to say, "Shooting the video was a blast! The music is absolutely beautiful and it was a pleasure to dance to. Lauren is an amazing person and artist. Being a contemporary dancer herself, she told us her vision and we did our best to achieve it. The video was shot in New York City. Lauren found a place called Gibney Studios. It was a beautiful location in the city. The video was shot and edited in 24 hours! Lauren and Dana (the videographer) were fun and great to work with".
The choreography in the video is their own competitive routine, without the lifts of course. As part of our Elite Team of sponsored dancers, we're delighted that Pasha and Daniella ensured our name was credited in the video! On the topic of their shoes they say, "International Dance Shoes played a big role in this video. Without the comfort of the shoes, we wouldn't be able to stand on our feet for as many hours as we did! The shoes are beautiful without any stones as well. The simplicity of the shoe is gorgeous on its own, especially with the detailed buckle!"
